I was born in Agana, Guam on 15 Dec 37. My birth certificate says "The United States Naval Government of Guam". My father was stationed there with my mother at the time as a Lieutenant in the U. S. Navy. We were forced to leave prior to the outbreak of WWII. My father died on active duty when I was three. My mother had many wonderful memories but no pictures or history. It was a highlight of her life. I know nothing other than what I can find on the web. Would anyone care to correspond with me? My life long dream of returning to see the place of my birth isn't going to happen. Thanks

Man, I have never been to a website that have people bicker back and forth like this, especially the fact that its actually two chamorros going at about their history, its embarrassing to the chamorro people and other nationalities too, because my first opinion was shouldn't these two be hafa adai-ing themselves up in here instead of going back and forth about which history is right about the chamorros. i am not chamorro but i remember when i was in yap (im from there) i always wanted to go to guam, the land of opportunity for us small islanders in the pacific, to me you guys have everything and i envied the people and the lifestyle over there. i finally went and live there for a year and i learned about ya'lls culture and i was very impressed. to me it looked like the chamorros took the bad and made a very good thing out of it. i mean look at your island and how you guys live nowadays, it sure is hella lot better than the rest of the islands i can tell you that. so get along or something and be chamorros! take care and god bless!
