I am writing specifically to the Chamorro Mamas. I am a Hispanic(Latina) mama. I am married to a wonderful Chamorro husband and we have a daughter. We've lived in Guam for an number of years and currently reside in Texas. I know how to cook a few chamorro dishes, but I'm writing to fill in a few blanks. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would be kind enough to send me recipes for: Pancit, tamales giza, fritada, and coconut candy. I'd be more than happy to trade recipes, particularly Tex-Mex. (I grew up in a Mexican restaurant)

Just wanted to commend the Pacific Islander's Club at Portland State. The luau held on the 3rd was very successful. The show was most exceptional. I think I speak for everyone when I say you make us Islanders proud. I'm glad that the club includes us from the Marianas instead of just Polynesia. Good luck in your endeavors!

Char sorry I haven't been able to get a hold of you. We have been real busy trying to get settled into our house. We have much things to do like paint the walls, and we had to got a fridge after days of searching. Oh not to mention the pool needs cleaning and we need to move our stuff in, so as you can see lots need to be done, and then we might be heading out to Guam real soon, so we'll be packing out our home in Guam.
