Hi everyone from Marianas High School Class of 1973. I have been looking for classmates that I graduated with. I sure would like to hear from them. It was fun at MHS, for the 2 years I was there from summer of 1972 to the winter of 1974. If anyone knows the Torres family, and if anyone of the family still living there please I would like to hear from you like Margaret, Terry, Peter, John, or the rest of the family, and any classmates from that year also. My whole family worked there, and I even worked for the census after high school. The school looks the same as I have seen pictures on the Internet. I miss all the classmates and, some families that I knew there. Anyway if anyone that I knew is still there I would like to hear from them. Well maybe 1 day I'll come back to visit. It looks like there has been alot of changes there with afew more hotels, and even a college that wasn't there when I was there for 2 years. Take Care, and say hi to anyone that was a classmate of 1973.

Hafa Adai, ginen Spanaway, Washington. It's so nice to be able to "surf the net" and feel close to home! This is a GREAT website! Would you consider posting photos of Chamorro's from all over the World?
I miss home a lot, but had to relocate due to the economy! I am now residing with Joseph Leon Guerrero and our four (4) children, Joel (14yrs), Joerdan (10yrs), Camarin-Monique (8yrs) and Gabrielle(6 yrs)...It's great out here, but there is NO PLACE LIKE OUR HOME...The Beautiful Island of Guam!!!!
Here's a shout out to my familia and man gachong, back home!
Love and Miss everyone! Take Care and God Bless You, All!

I hope someone can help me answer a question. What does Hafa Adai mean. I know it as a greeting like hello, but does it mean more than just that? I am retired and restoring an old sailboat. I would like to name the boat Hafa Adai but I'm not sure it would be appropriate
I spent two years(1951 thru 1953) at Anderson AFB. There was an old sailboat on the dock at the fishing harbor near Agana in 1953. That's where I fell in love with sailing, and that is why I would like the name on my boat.
I have more great memories of Guam than of anywhere else in the world.
Thank you

How much more BEAUTFUL Guam looks today. I just can't imagine what it looks like in person today compared to 1964-65 when my Air Force husband and I lived in a quonset hut in Yigo while he was stationed at Andersen AFB. Several years ago we talked of a return trip to Guam, mainly because we were newlyweds when we got there and the beginning really started for us there. However, it was not to be. Illness and cancer changed everything and my husband passed away in 2002. I'm still carrying our dream and I'd love to return some day. We made some wonderful AF friends and stay in touch with them even today. One couple from CA hope to make a return, possibly in May 2004.
I'd like to find our landlord and his family if at all possible. Maybe someone can tell me how to go about it. He is American and his name is Hugh Facwett, his wife is Guamaian; I don't remember her first name. They lived in a house among the 4 quonset huts he owned in Yigo. The road turned off to the right 3 miles from Andersen AFB gate. There were two AF couples living in each of his huts. I imagine they have been torn down now, and I'm not sure if Hugh Facwett is still living. I would like to corrospond with anyone who might have known them or has any information about them. They had 2 or 3 children who would be in their late 30's or 40's. Would also like to hear from someone who might have lived there about the time we did, as well as someone in the AF or Navy who might have a personal website I can go to.
When my husband and I returned to the States, we moved to Titusville, FL and worked for NASA at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. I still work there. Thanks for a great web site!!
Ann Nelson - Titusville, Florida

Hafa Adai! I've been away for 16 years and would love to purchase Guam jewelry. These past couple of months I was searching the web, but was not pleased w/the results. I'm sure there's more jewelry selection out there. My interests are the guam seals, spanish cross, and bamboo (both for men and women). Much would be appreciated if someone has any suggestions. I am a book dealer in Frankfort, Kentucky, and recently acquired a student work entitled "Guam: Its People and Government" by Grade 9 - Sections D and E, Barrigada Junior High, Barrigada Guam, May, 1966. Illustrated by Blas Atalig." This appears to have been a class project.
The book has been resting on another dealer's shelves for some years. If someone out there can e-mail a mailing address for the school, I'll post the book back to the school. Perhaps it would be an addition to the school library.
Tried the Guam school directory web site, but it is still under construction.
Thanks.

My brother-law, Peter SN. Chargualaf, an executive chef from Buena Park, CA told me about your website. Thanks to him I can now browse your website and know whassup with our people away from home. I just want to let you folks know I appreciate also having to read from Chamorros from all over. My husband and I are from Malojloj, Guam and have families all over the mainland. Its a great website for Chamorros to get together. Communication thru this kind of media keeps everybody in close contact even if we are thousands of miles separated by the Pacific Ocean. Thanks again for making such services available.

Hafa adai. Nice to join in with everyone in this guestbook. I miss my beautiful island in the sun. Washington is soooooooooo cold during the winter. but, during the summer it gets so hot just like home. Many chamorros are living in Washington State. We celebrate fiestas here, alot of parties just like home..The food we have here are just like home. We can find spanish sausage at McCord commissary. Cost is only $18.I am not sure if they raise it up now or still the same. Lemon Powder is the only one that is double the price from back home. Kadu is the chamorro style food here in Washington. I know now why. Due to the weather. I miss my home (Guam)alot. I am proud to be a chamorro blood. And I just want to say it is nice to have an internet that welcomes all chamorro and all nationality. Not just chamorro. but, others who misses Guam when they where there. Hope that we have a photo gallery of all the chamorros living in the states away from Guam. Who wants to submit it in to this Chamorro network. This will be a great suggestion for this network for all who wants to send in their family portrait so others can see who they are. It is the options of others who wants it out or not. But, surely it will be nice to know all the familiar faces. As the old saying "names does not trigger but picture face does". Anyhow, just thought it would be nice. Well, I just want to say that this is a very interesting way of speaking it out to all our islanders on the internet. I love you all and God Bless us all.

Hi all, I have never been to Guam and actually don't know anyone from Guam, yet. But I have a local and long Distance phone service which allows me to talk all I want free, to people in Guam. If anyone wants to know more about that, just send me an email! and i'll give you a call! Talk later! "Caz"

Hafa Adai to all! It's been a couple of years now since we've set foot on the island. Sure do miss a bundle of the island life. We now reside here in San Diego, Ca. and although there is lots to offer here nothing will ever compare to back home. To our families back home and around the world god bless.

To Justice family we are very sorry for your
loss, it really hurt's to loose your love one's, we all knew you where fighting for her too, but when the time come's you know there's nothing more you can do but let her go and rest in peace. it's really painful when there gone , me and my family lost a preciuos little one too, she was only 3 yrs. old, she was very sick, she passed away right on Valentine's Day, it was the saddest day of our life's, we could'nt believe she left us but it took time for us to realize she wasn't coming back. up till now we still feel that saddness inside of us, especialy now when we heard about Justice we couldn't believe it we where all so hurt. p.s take care , so sorry.......
